Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is set to enhance its missile manufacturing and R&D capabilities to bolster India's defense self-reliance, with plans for new facilities in Jhansi, Ibrahimpatnam, and Amravati. Under Commodore A Madhavarao, BDL aims to increase R&D spending to 6-8% of revenue, focusing on next-generation weaponry and collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to achieve 80-90% indigenous content in its products.
