Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Highlights Impact of Jeevika Didis and Local Development Initiatives
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recognized the contributions of 'Jeevika Didis' during his visit to Nawada district, emphasizing their role in improving rural economic conditions through self-help groups under the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project. Launched in 2006, the initiative aims to empower 5.9 lakh households across the state.
Kumar also interacted with schoolgirls undergoing self-defense training, reflecting government commitment to education. Additionally, he inspected local projects including the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' water supply scheme, a health and wellness center, a Tata Power Renewable Energy floating solar power plant, and a developing industrial area in Rajauli, which are expected to enhance infrastructure and generate economic opportunities.
