BioCirc Reports 27% Operating Profit Increase in 2025 Amid Expansion into Solar and Carbon Capture
BioCirc, a Danish circular energy company, reported a 27% increase in operating profit for the first nine months of 2025, reaching 189 million Danish kroner (DKK) from revenues of DKK 1.278 billion. This growth is attributed to effective cost management, stable raw material costs, and high operational uptime.
The company is expanding its green energy portfolio, having launched its first solar farm in October 2025, a 53-hectare site at Vinkel Bioenergi. Additionally, BioCirc is advancing its biogas facility expansion and developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems, supported by a €27.5 million loan from the Nordic Investment Bank, with plans to operationalize CCS at five of eight biogas plants by 2026. The company employs over 300 staff and produces approximately 170 million cubic meters of green methane annually, enough to supply around 120,000 homes.
