Birdon Secures AU$125M Contract for Australian Army Amphibious Vehicles

Birdon has secured a AU$125 million contract to design and manufacture one prototype and 15 amphibious logistics vehicles for the Australian Army, aimed at replacing outdated LARC-V vehicles. The new amphibious vehicles will enhance operational capabilities in diverse environments and are part of the Land 8710 Littoral Manoeuvre program, which focuses on modernizing logistics in coastal and riverine areas. Production will take place at Birdon's shipyard in Port Macquarie, contributing to local employment and skills development.
