Blok Masela Gas Field in Maluku Set for Groundbreaking After Years of Delay

The Blok Masela gas project in Maluku, Indonesia, is set to begin groundbreaking in the coming months after years of stagnation, as confirmed by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. The project requires an investment of approximately US$20.94 billion and aims for operations to commence by 2029, producing 9.5 million tons of LNG annually. Recent technical studies on Carbon Capture Storage have been completed, ensuring the project's readiness for the Front-End Engineering Design phase.
