Boeing Secures $2B Contract for B-52 Engine Upgrades in San Antonio

Boeing has been awarded a $2 billion contract by the U.S. Air Force to produce new Rolls-Royce engines for the B-52 Stratofortress at its Port San Antonio facility, with project completion anticipated by 2033.
This initiative aims to improve the aircraft's reliability and operational capabilities, while additional work will be conducted in Oklahoma City and Seattle. The upgraded B-52H will be reclassified as the B-52J, following previous radar system enhancements worth $367 million.
