Brad K. Morikawa, a nuclear welder at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, was awarded the 2025 George S.B. Walters Service Award for his contributions to the U.S.

Navy. The award, presented by the Honolulu Council of the Navy League, recognizes exemplary service in line with the legacy of George S.B. Walters, who protected ships during the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941. Morikawa, who has worked at the shipyard for 12 years, is noted for his expertise and leadership in the nuclear welding shop.
