Brandon Mayor Confirms HMCS Brandon Ship Won't Be Relocated Due to Costs

Mayor Jeff Fawcett announced that the HMCS Brandon will not be relocated to the city due to high transportation costs, estimated in the tens of millions. The city will instead receive artifacts from the ship, and discussions are ongoing about establishing a naval reserve base in Brandon. The HMCS Brandon, decommissioned in September, served various operations since its commissioning in 1999.
