Bundeswehr's Skyranger 30 Air-Defence System to Achieve Operational Capability by 2029

The German Army's Skyranger 30 air-defence system is set to achieve initial operational capability by 2027 and full capability by 2029, with deployment planned in Lithuania for the Panzerbrigade 45. The system includes a 30 mm gun, Stinger missiles, and advanced sensors, while Rheinmetall will also produce four versions of the Caracal 4×4 vehicle for Germany and the Netherlands, with an initial production of 1,505 units starting in 2025.
