Cambodia's First LNG Power Plant to Begin Operation in 2026

Cambodia's first LNG-fired power plant, with a capacity of 900 MW, is scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2026, with a second phase expected in 2027. Developed by Royal Group at an investment of approximately US$1.35 billion, the project aims to enhance national energy security and stabilize the electricity grid, while also supporting Cambodia's goal of increasing renewable energy to at least 70 percent by 2030.
