Camp Pendleton has opened a new Army Veterinary Services and Veterinary Treatment Facility, significantly larger than its predecessor, to enhance care for military working animals and privately owned pets. The facility provides a range of services including preventive care, diagnostic testing, and select surgical procedures, while also supporting the welfare of service members' animals and ensuring food safety for the military community.
