Canine Defense Technologies has launched the K9 Fiber C2 System for its Genesis tactical drones, utilizing fiber-optic links to enhance resilience against electronic warfare. This open-source system aims to simplify integration and reduce costs, enabling secure, high-bandwidth communication through a conventional Ethernet-over-fiber configuration. Drawing on battlefield experiences from Ukraine, the system supports defense missions such as reconnaissance and precision strikes while minimizing reliance on traditional radio-frequency communications.
