CarbonQuest has initiated its first carbon capture and sequestration project in Canada, partnering with Cielo Carbon Solutions and Tourmaline Oil. The project involves the installation of CarbonQuest's distributed carbon capture technology on a gas compressor at the Tourmaline Banshee facility in Alberta.

The project integrates metal-organic framework adsorbents from Captivate Technology to enhance the efficiency of the carbon capture process. Funding of $4.1 million is partially supported by the Alberta government.
