Carpenters Union Acquires $52.5 Million Building at Philadelphia Navy Yard for New Headquarters and Training Centers

DEFENSE

The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters has acquired a $52.5 million building at the Philadelphia Navy Yard to serve as its new headquarters and training centers, following a 2.5-year search for a larger facility. The council plans to construct an additional training facility at the site, estimated to cost $30 million and take 24 months to complete, while also evaluating the future of its current Spring Garden location. This move aims to enhance accessibility for apprentices and accommodate up to 125 employees by the end of April.
