Chief Warrant Officer 5 Casey Akins has been appointed as the command chief warrant officer of the Nevada National Guard, effective March. With nine years of piloting experience and previous deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa, she will support Det. 45 OSA in its upcoming deployment to U.S.

Central Command. Akins succeeds Nielsen, who served as CCWO for five years and is set to retire later this year.
