The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has criticized Bangladesh's draft Energy and Power Sector Master Plan (2026-2050) for being developed without proper consultation, projecting a significantly lower electricity demand than the draft's estimate. CPD highlighted a dramatic increase in proposed LNG infrastructure investment and called for greater emphasis on renewable energy.
