Chevron and Israel Natural Gas Lines Sign $610M Deal for Nitzana Subsea Pipeline Expansion

NATURAL GAS

Chevron and Israel Natural Gas Lines (INGL) have signed a $610 million agreement to expand the Nitzana subsea pipeline, which will double natural gas export capacity from Israel's Leviathan field to Egypt. The 65-kilometre pipeline, set to be operational by 2028, will initially transport 600 million cubic feet of gas daily, with plans to increase capacity to 2.2 billion cubic feet. This project is part of a 15-year, $35 billion gas supply deal with Egypt, aimed at bolstering regional energy security and addressing local production declines.
