Chinese Solar Firms Increase Prices as Silver Costs Rise and Tax Rebates End

Chinese solar manufacturers are raising prices for overseas buyers due to a surge in silver costs and the cessation of export tax rebates. Trina Solar increased prices by 3.5-3.66%, while Longi Green Energy doubled its price to 0.06 yuan per watt. The Chinese government's termination of a 9% export VAT rebate, effective April 1, is expected to further elevate prices and potentially consolidate the solar industry.
