Cisco Collaborates with IBM to Develop Quantum Networking Solutions
QUANTUM COMPUTING
Cisco is partnering with IBM to develop high-fidelity quantum networking solutions, addressing the current lack of networking capabilities in quantum computing. The collaboration has led to the introduction of an entanglement chip that can operate without refrigeration, allowing connections over telecom fiber wavelengths up to 100 kilometers. Both companies aim to achieve networked distributed quantum computing by the early 2030s, overcoming challenges such as entanglement fragility and distance limitations.
