DEFENSE
Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that civilian flights will commence from Udhampur Air Force Station within 6-7 months, facilitated by ongoing coordination between the Indian Air Force and the Airports Authority of India.
This initiative aims to boost air connectivity in the Chenab region, benefiting four districts, while also enhancing Udhampur's status as a major transportation hub. Plans for additional land acquisition to support a full-fledged airport are also underway, alongside similar projects in Kishtwar under the UDAAN scheme.
