DEFENSE

Clashes occurred between the Syrian Army and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near the Tishreen Dam in Aleppo Governorate, lasting until early Tuesday. The SDF reported heavy artillery attacks from the Syrian Army on surrounding areas, including the villages of Haj Hussein and Sheikh Mahshi.

The Tishreen Dam remains a strategic asset and a focal point of ongoing conflict. In a separate incident, the SDF arrested 10 villagers in Mozan, Deir ez-Zor, following a school-related dispute. Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab held a security meeting to address threats after a recent attack in Palmyra that killed two U.S. soldiers.

The Interior Ministry announced the arrest of five suspects related to the Palmyra attack and reported on the targeting of a group linked to a previous attack on a patrol in Idlib. ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack on a Customs Police patrol in Aleppo Governorate, resulting in fatalities among personnel.
