The Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan will enforce a temporary closure of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal from February 7 to February 22, 2026, for electric fish barrier testing by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The closure will occur between mile markers 295.5 and 297.5, with specific testing phases scheduled.
