Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy announced the completion of the ₹162.54 crore Munneru-Palair Link Canal project in Khammam is expected by January 2027. The project aims to save ₹120 crore annually in electricity costs and will stabilize irrigation for 1.38 lakh acres downstream and 40,000 acres upstream, while generating 2 MW of hydropower.
