COPT Defense Signs Lease for 110,000 Sq Ft Office Development at University of Maryland's Discovery District

COPT Defense Properties has signed a build-to-suit lease for a 110,000 square foot office building with the University of Maryland's Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security, set to begin construction in Q1 2026 and complete by Q2 2027. The project, located at 4400 River Road in College Park, represents a total capital investment of $65 million and expands ARLIS's presence in COPT Defense's portfolio within the UMD Discovery District, which includes four nearly fully leased buildings.
