Croatia Plans Gas Interconnection with Serbia to Enhance Energy Security

Croatia plans to enhance its energy security by constructing a 15-kilometer gas interconnection with Serbia, granting access to the LNG terminal on Krk. Despite investing over four billion euros in renewable energy, the country's energy supply value has declined by 25% in the past decade.
The U.S. Ambassador emphasized the terminal's significance in reducing reliance on Russian energy and fostering American partnerships, while discussions about a potential nuclear power plant by 2035 are also underway.
