The Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency has reported a 100% success rate in geothermal exploration, confirming significant potential at all four sites. Research in Zaprešić revealed a geothermal reservoir with temperatures over 95 degrees Celsius, while historic results were noted in Velika Gorica and Osijek with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Celsius.

The projects, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aim to enhance energy independence. Croatia currently lacks active geothermal power plants.
