Croatian President Milanovic Bans Military Cooperation with Israel Amid Humanitarian Law Violations
DEFENSE
Croatian President Zoran Milanovic announced the cessation of military cooperation with Israel, citing serious violations of international humanitarian law. He ordered the termination of all cooperation between the Croatian Armed Forces and the Israeli military in May last year, extending this directive to all members of the armed forces.
He called on the Croatian government to halt arms trade with Israel. This statement coincided with Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Anusic's visit to Israel, where he discussed defense cooperation and met with Israeli officials.
