Côte d'Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara has appointed his brother, Téné Birahima Ouattara, as vice prime minister in a cabinet reshuffle on January 23, 2026, while he continues as defense minister. The new government includes 34 ministers, with five new appointments and four departures, following Ouattara's re-election and his party's legislative success. The cabinet retains all six women from the previous administration, with some reassigned, and the first meeting is set for Saturday at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan.
