Cuango Photovoltaic Park in Angola Reaches 70% Completion Ahead of July Operation

The Cuango photovoltaic park in Angola's Lunda-Norte province is now 70% complete and is set to begin operations in July, aiming to electrify 9,500 homes and benefit 40,000 residents. The project will generate 11.5 megawatts of electricity, supplemented by 23 megawatts from storage batteries, significantly reducing diesel consumption and supporting the Rural Electrification Program across 60 communities. Minister of Energy and Water João Baptista Borges highlighted the project's role in enhancing energy stability in the region.
