DEFENSE

The Czech Army is looking to replace its Pandur II 8×8 armoured personnel carriers due to operational deficiencies. A feasibility study has been completed, recommending options such as the Boxer 8×8 and Patria AMV.

The procurement program may deliver new vehicles by 2029-30. The current fleet of 107 Pandur IIs is being replaced to enhance capabilities and reduce maintenance issues. The Czech Republic's defense budget is projected to reach $7.7 billion by 2028, growing at over 9% annually.
