Dallas City Council Approves Increased Contract for White Rock Lake Dredging Project

The Dallas City Council has approved an increase in the engineering contract for the White Rock Lake Dredging Project to $1,372,450, following earlier adjustments for assessments and erosion control. This initiative, which aims to address sediment accumulation affecting water quality, is supported by a partnership with the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers and includes funding from a $20 million allocation in the 2024 bond election. The project is set to begin its design phase in March 2026, with completion anticipated by December 2028.
