De Nora Partners with Neom for World’s Largest Green Hydrogen Plant in Saudi Arabia
De Nora is involved in the construction of the Neom green hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia, part of the Saudi Vision 2030 plan. The project will produce and sell green hydrogen as a global commodity. Between 2023 and August 2025, De Nora will provide 110 electrolyzers, each 20 MW, totaling 33,000 electrochemical cells.
Installation is set to last 18 months, with the plant expected to be operational by the end of 2026. Neom will produce green ammonia, with TotalEnergies acquiring 35% of production for decarbonizing European refineries.
De Nora is engaged in strategic partnerships with companies like Snam and Thyssenkrupp. The company is also developing a gigafactory in Italy, aiming for 2 GW capacity by 2030, focusing on advanced automation and sustainability. De Nora has been a leader in electrochemical technologies for over a century, adapting to emerging trends in energy and sustainability.
