Deutz Acquires Frerk Aggregatebau and Restructures into Five Business Units to Boost Energy Growth
Deutz has acquired Frerk Aggregatebau, a leading European provider of high-end emergency power systems, to enhance its energy business and transition into five independent business units starting January 1, 2026. This strategic move aims to accelerate growth in the energy and defense sectors, building on the previous acquisition of US-based Blue Star Power Systems in 2024.
Deutz targets a revenue increase in its energy segment to approximately 500 million euros by 2030 through organic growth and further acquisitions. Following the dual announcement, Deutz's stock rose nearly seven percent, with analysts predominantly rating it as 'Buy' and an average price target of 10.44 euros.
COO Petra Mayer will leave the board on December 31, 2026, to focus on her supervisory roles. The ongoing transformation includes strengthening the defense segment, notably through a partnership with ARX Robotics established in October 2025.
