Didar A Husain has been re-elected as Chairman of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Board of Trustees for the 2026-27 term, having previously served in the same role during 2024-25. A founding trustee and former military officer, Husain has a background in the textile industry and is active in various organizations, including the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. The election was announced by the Education, Science, Technology and Cultural Development Trust on December 23, 2025.
