DISA Mandates Acquisition Accelerators for 40% of Task Orders by March 2026
DEFENSE
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has mandated that by March 2026, at least 40% of all task orders must employ acquisition accelerators, such as oral proposals, to improve procurement efficiency. This initiative, which aims for 80% compliance by September, is part of a broader regulatory overhaul by the Department of Defense, including 31 class deviations to the Federal Acquisition Regulation. DISA's efforts are designed to streamline acquisition timelines and encourage greater participation from commercial firms in the DoD procurement process.
