Divine Mercy Wellness and Medical Center in Tuguegarao City has partnered with First Gen Corp. to transition to renewable energy, specifically geothermal power. The agreement allows the hospital to source its electricity from the Tongonan Geothermal Power Plant in Leyte, operated by First Gen subsidiary Energy Development Corp.

This initiative falls under the government's Green Energy Option Program, which enables qualified consumers with at least 100 kilowatts in average peak demand to obtain electricity from renewable sources. The collaboration aims to reduce the hospital's carbon footprint and promote sustainability in the community.
