Douglas Sheldon, a distinguished military intelligence officer, began his career in 1966 and significantly contributed to intelligence operations during the Vietnam War. He played a pivotal role in establishing Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta and was an original member of the Joint Special Operations Command, ultimately enhancing intelligence capabilities within the U.S. military until his retirement in 1996. Afterward, he directed the Joint Intelligence Center at USSOCOM until 2011.
