The East Africa Regional Skills Transformation and Integration Project (EASTRIP) is focused on advancing renewable energy technologies among East African Community member states. Deputy Minister Wanu Hafidh Ameir recently inspected the nearly completed Kikuletwa Power Project, which will provide practical training for students and supply electricity to local villages, while also featuring a solar energy center to encourage innovation. Despite challenges with road infrastructure, approximately 3,500 students, including some from Kenya, have already trained in renewable electricity technologies.
