The Board of Directors of Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO), led by Chairperson Justin Saidi, conducted a tour of power stations in Southern and Central Malawi from January 3-4 and January 13, 2026, to evaluate operations and ongoing projects. The visits included key facilities such as the Mapanga Diesel Power Plant, Kapichira, Nkula, Tedzani hydropower stations, Kanengo Diesel Power Plant, and the Salima Solar Power Project. The newly appointed board, which began its term in December 2025, aims to bolster power availability by supporting EGENCO employees.
