NATURAL GAS
Egypt plans to boost its crude oil and natural gas production to ensure supply by summer 2026, as outlined by Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy. The five-year strategy includes drilling over 100 exploratory wells this year and nearly 500 by 2030, while also enhancing collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity to manage gas consumption. Additionally, Egypt aims to establish itself as a regional gas hub, engaging in the trading of Cypriot gas and focusing on investment attraction through ongoing seismic surveys.
