Egypt's 'Haya Karima' Initiative Achieves 89% Completion with EGP 350 Billion Investment in Rural Development

Egypt's 'Haya Karima' initiative has achieved an 89% completion rate as of June 2025, with EGP 306 billion of the EGP 350 billion investment allocated to rural development across 1,477 villages, benefiting nearly 18 million citizens. Key accomplishments include significant improvements in sanitation, natural gas subscriptions, and telecommunications, alongside the establishment of health units and classrooms, and the introduction of the 'Green Village' project for environmental standards. The initiative has also enhanced financial inclusion and launched the 'Sharek 2030' app for project monitoring.
