Elroy Air has successfully completed its first cargo delivery using the Chaparral, a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. The aircraft, capable of carrying up to 300 pounds over distances of 300 miles, made the delivery on December 10th, autonomously transporting 213 lbs over 2.6 miles in Byron, California.

Chaparral took off vertically, reached speeds of approximately 60 mph, and performed a vertical landing at a secondary location to deliver lunch to the Elroy Air team. This milestone delivery utilized the company's Hatch Load Pod, designed for efficient ground operations. Elroy Air plans to scale production in partnership with Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, following a year of significant advancements, including longer range flights and the establishment of exclusive manufacturing agreements.
