Enel Begins Construction of 82.5-MW Solar Plant in Free State, South Africa

Enel Green Power has begun construction on the 82.5-megawatt Pulida solar power plant in Free State Province, South Africa, expected to generate 150 gigawatt hours annually to power around 48,000 households. The energy produced will be sold to Eskom under a 20-year power purchase agreement, part of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme. Enel has also secured rights for additional renewable projects in the region, contributing to its global installed capacity of over 9,800 megawatts.
