ENGIE and Equinor have updated their gas sales agreement to include documentation of the origin and greenhouse gas footprint of Norwegian gas. This initiative allows for tracking sustainability qualities through a platform operated by Attributes SAS, addressing increasing client and regulatory demands for energy origin information. Additionally, Equinor has entered a five-year natural gas supply agreement with Eneco for up to 500 million cubic meters annually, effective February 1, which also utilizes the sustainability tracking system.
