Entergy is set to support a $1.3 billion AI data center project in Port Arthur, Texas, linked to new natural gas plants approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. The project will add over 1,200 megawatts to the grid and is expected to generate $2.8 billion in economic activity, creating 22 permanent and 225 construction jobs over an 18 to 36-month timeline. The Legend Powerstation will power the data center, benefiting over 190,000 homes while prioritizing local materials and experienced contractors.
