entX and University of Adelaide Secure Funding for GenX Nuclear Battery Production
DEFENSESOLAR ENERGY
The University of Adelaide and entX have received AUD$1.8 million to scale production of the GenX betavoltaic nuclear battery for space and defense applications. Funded by the Additive Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre, the initiative focuses on systems unsuitable for maintenance or solar power. Over the next 14 months, the project will validate the GenX device and its manufacturing process, transitioning key prototype activities to entX's facility in Adelaide.
