Dublin-based startup Equal1 has secured €51 million ($60 million) to advance its silicon-based quantum computing technology and launch the Bell-1 quantum server. The funding, led by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and supported by various investors, aims to transition the company from development to deployment, addressing cost and infrastructure challenges in quantum computing. Equal1 also plans to collaborate with the European Space Agency and Nvidia to enhance quantum algorithms and models, positioning itself to capitalize on the expanding quantum computing market by 2035.
