ERC Approves Feed-in Tariff Adjustments for Renewable Energy Projects 2021-2025 with Recovery Starting 2026

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of the Philippines has approved adjustments to the Feed-in Tariffs (FIT) for renewable energy projects covering 2021 to 2025, with recovery beginning in 2026. The adjustments aim to support the growth of the renewable energy sector.

Under the new rates, biomass projects from 2014-2015 will receive Php7.0655/kWh in 2021, increasing to Php8.1259 in 2025. For run-of-river hydro projects, rates will be Php6.1747/kWh in 2021, rising to Php7.1626 in 2025.

Solar projects will see rates adjusted from Php10.5513/kWh in 2021 to Php12.0074 in 2025. Wind projects will receive Php9.1940/kWh in 2021, increasing to Php10.5178 in 2025. The ERC indicated that other FIT rounds are also addressed in the resolution, which will be available on its official website.
