ErreDue Secures €1.6 Million Contract for 1MW Hydrogen Plant at JMG Cranes in Italy
ErreDue S.p.A. has been awarded a €1.6 million contract to provide a 1MW green hydrogen production plant at JMG Cranes' Sarmato site in Piacenza, Italy. This project, part of the GrU Self-Propelled Industrial Green Hydrogen Cranes initiative, aims to establish a Hydrogen Valley powered entirely by renewable energy, with the plant scheduled for delivery in June 2026.
The facility will produce up to 160 tonnes of high-purity hydrogen annually, utilizing a PEM electrolyser integrated with a 1.3MW photovoltaic system and a 1MW battery energy storage system. Hydrogen produced will be used for gas trailer distribution and fueling mobile industrial cranes. The project aligns with Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and is set to enhance the local hydrogen supply chain.
