The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique, set to conclude in 2025, has successfully trained over 800 Mozambican military personnel in various areas, including logistics and leadership. Led by Commodore César Pires Correia from the Portuguese Navy, the mission aims to enhance the operational capacity of the Mozambican Defense Forces and will introduce new initiatives for logistical sustainability in 2025. The mission involves 83 military personnel from 12 nations and has a mandate extending until June 2026.
